Why "Stone Face?"

Our name speaks to the power of the image and to the rugged individualism that is the bedrock of New England, where the Stone Face Group makes its home. The Great Stone Face, the Old Man of the Mountain, was a natural rock formation that stood sentinel for millennia high above Franconia Notch in New Hampshire's White Mountains. Sadly, in 2003, the granite finally succumbed to the ravages of the weather and the pull of gravity, and the Great Stone Face was no more.

But the image lives on, etched in our minds and more durable than granite.

The Stone Face Group was founded by Chris Barron on the principle that distinctive design and compelling communications are not a luxury— they are fundamental to effective marketing.

Chris has a Master of Architecture Degree from Harvard University and has been a pioneer in the field of computer-aided-design (CAD). He brings years of experience in marketing strategy, design and communications, working with small design firms, high tech start-ups, non-profit organizations and large corporations.

An award-winning writer with an architect's eye for design, Chris Barron brings innovation, creativity and a pragmatic sense of the bottom line to every project.
